[WHITE PAPER] PeriSight, integrated optronic system for enhanced night & day vision

Nowadays, armored vehicles are facing more and more significant threats when they found themselves in asymmetrical or high-intensity conflicts. To reduce their vulnerability, those platforms must achieve maximum mobility and maintain continuous surveillance over their immediate environment, despite reduced visibility.

Meeting the challenges on mobility, protection and tactical situation awareness, Bertin Technologies provides integrators, vehicles manufacturers and the Armed Forces with reliable and high-performance optronic solutions in order to increase the latter’ safety and operational effectiveness. Based on a distributed architecture of sensors, the PeriSight® is a modular equipment for Driver Vision Enhancement (DVE) and 360° Situation Awareness (SA). It consists in visual and thermal sensors that can adapt to any type of vehicle (light, medium-weight and heavy armored vehicles, etc.).

This innovative and field-proven system offers high performances in terms of night & day observation and detection in hostile environments. Image processing gives high quality information to the crew in order to reduce its cognitive load and allow it to better focus on the mission.
