For the past two years, the Bertin Technologies Group has been carrying out initiatives to assist wounded service members, with the aim of supporting their transition to civilian life and honoring their past service, particularly through the recruitment and support of committed athletes.
Today, Bertin Technologies is taking a new step forward by supporting the ULTRAOPS organization in one of its most iconic challenges.
ULTRAOPS
Created to support service members who have suffered physical or psychological injuries, the ULTRAOPS association organizes exceptional sports expeditions in demanding environments.
Far more than just endurance challenges, these adventures are true journeys of recovery. Participants are encouraged to push their physical and mental limits, regain confidence in their abilities, and rebuild a sense of camaraderie similar to the one that sustained them throughout their military careers.
Each expedition is carefully planned over several months. Teams are composed of participants with complementary backgrounds and receive tailored support to ensure both the group’s safety and the project’s success. The next challenge begins on September 22. Over the course of 14 days, participants will cover 330 kilometers entirely on their own, under demanding conditions that will test their endurance, adaptability, and teamwork. This extraordinary adventure will require participants to manage their effort, navigation, and resources just as much as their physical performance.

Above all, a human adventure
Among the participants is Guillaume Cagnot, Office Manager at Bertin Alpao and a former member of the military.
After 18 years of service—first as a combat medic and later in executive support roles—Guillaume joined the Bertin Group last year.
For him, this adventure holds special symbolic significance. It represents at once a major athletic challenge, a demanding team experience, and an important milestone in his personal journey. Like all members of his team, Guillaume is undergoing specific physical and mental preparation, centered on individualized training, team-building exercises, and operational readiness phases.
During the expedition, he will be responsible, in particular, for the group’s orientation and navigation.
A long-term commitment
The support provided to ULTRAOPS is part of a comprehensive initiative that Bertin Technologies has been carrying out for two years to benefit the military community and its wounded members.
This commitment is reflected in the employment support provided to former service members, with the aim of facilitating their career transition and leveraging the skills they acquired during their military service.
