On-Axis and Off-Axis Mirrors
The on-axis and off-axis mirror architectures developed by Bertin Winlight provide complementary optical solutions, combining robust integration with outstanding imaging performance.
On-axis mirror architectures offer high alignment robustness, making them particularly well suited to standard instruments and constrained environments.
Off-axis architectures, by contrast, eliminate any central obstruction, enabling maximum image quality, high contrast, and excellent control of optical aberrations.
Thanks to their wide spectral coverage and the absence of chromatic aberration, off-axis mirrors are ideally suited for demanding applications in space, defense, and scientific instrumentation. Bertin Winlight masters both approaches, offering standard and custom solutions optimized according to optical performance requirements and the mechanical and thermal constraints of the system. This complementarity makes it possible to address a wide range of applications, from compact instruments to very high performance optical systems.
