SSA Telescope – Space Situational Awareness
Bertin Winlight telescopes are designed to meet the needs of high-quality instrumentation and imaging, even in the most demanding environments, across a wide spectral band from the visible to the far infrared (400 nm – 14 µm).
Bertin Winlight’s SSA telescopes can integrate, when required, multifocal combinations with precise line‑of‑sight retention between fields (25 µrad). This capability is essential for space surveillance missions, ensuring the consistency of observations during the tracking of objects in orbit. Based on lightweight mirrors and structures, these telescopes are designed to meet the stringent constraints in terms of size, stability, and dynamics imposed by SSA surveillance systems. They are therefore compatible with integration on tracking turrets, enabling the fast and accurate pointing required for tracking orbital objects, including at very long distances.
