Information technologies encompass a set of skills that are increasingly important nowadays. Some of these key skills are illustrated below:

• Skills in physical modelling, applied mathematics, and algorithms allow to extract from physical measurements – which often very complex and performed in a noisy environment – the information sought with the maximum performance. This performance is measured in the ability to work in real time or at very high speed, and to guarantee the accuracy of measurements.
• Image processing allows to offer users the best possible perception of images. This requires to integrate sophisticated image processing to stabilize, correct deformations, and work in extended color domains with, for example, multi-spectral imaging technologies or fusion of day and night vision.
• Artificial intelligence allows for the automatic identification of objects in images but can also offer users an augmented reality experience to increase their perception and decision-making abilities.
• Finally, the IOT (Internet Of Things) is the set of technologies that allow objects to communicate.
