Reliable virus airborne sampling with Coriolis Compact
Ambient air quality is becoming a key public health issue. Among the pathogens present in the atmosphere, airborne viruses are a major source of concern due to their ability to spread rapidly and discreetly. This fact highlights the need to strengthen environmental monitoring and detection systems.
In this context, the Coriolis Compact dry cyclonic collector perfectly meets this need. Capable of collecting both micro-organisms (viruses, bacteria, fungi) and inorganic particles (allergens, microplastics), the Coriolis Compact is able to respond to a lot of public health needs. Its lightness and compactness make this air collector an easily transportable to strategic places equipment for indoor and outdoor sampling.
This application note will focus on the Coriolis Compact’s ability to collect viruses, which has been possible thanks to the work of the independent lab VirexpR that studied the performance of the air sampler.
