Optical payload for constellations - Bertin Technologies

Optical payload for constellations

Cost-effective off-the-shelf Earth observation products and systems designed for the emerging New Space market.

New Space, new requirements. Privately funded space programs are reshuffling the cards, introducing the need for affordable low SWaP Earth observation technologies, suitable for constellations of small satellites.

This is why Bertin Winlight is developing a range of compact and lightweight VNIR (visible and near infrared) & SWIR (short wave infrared) optical payloads systems addressing these new requirements.

Bertin Winlight’s offering for New Space applications opens up a wide array of possibilities for Earth observation, from natural disaster monitoring to agriculture, from water management to urban planning.

By providing low SWaP payloads for small satellites, Bertin Winlight brings the benefit of satellite constellations to Earth observation, with ultra-high revisit rates allowing for almost realtime monitoring of events on the ground and in the atmosphere.

Bertin Winlight’s flagship Earth observation product for New Space application is the SPEO space camera, as well as its EarthCam CMOS circuit for image capture, also available as a standalone component.
