Earth observation is entering a new era driven by New Space, with constellations of small satellites becoming essential tools for environmental and strategic monitoring, offering high revisit rates and very high-resolution images.

In response to the evolving needs of the emerging New Space market, Bertin Winlight introduces SPEO+, a very high resolution VNIR (Visible and Near Infrared) optical payload specifically designed for the next generation of Earth observation missions.

What for?

SPEO+ is an optical payload which is a low SWaP (Size, Weight and Power) multispectral camera. Designed to be lightweight, robust, and highly stable, it offers a cost-effective solution specifically tailored to the operational constraints of smallsats, both during launch and throughout in-service operation.

Use cases include:

  • Monitoring disaster developments and recovery (fires, floods, etc)
  • Surveillance of shipping routes
  • Tracking movements on the battlefield
