Bertin Winlight, Bertin Technologies’ brand specializing in Defense optronics, announces the official launch of PeriSight Top Attack at Eurosatory 2026. A fully passive optronic protection solution, PeriSight Top Attack is designed to protect armored vehicles against the growing and multifaceted drone threat, day and night. Compact, modular, and free from export restrictions, it provides crews with immediate situational awareness to respond effectively under any operational conditions.
A discreet response to the drone threat across all environments
Drones are redefining the rules of land combat. Whether commercial FPV drones repurposed for military use or tactical surveillance drones, the threat has become permanent, multidirectional, and difficult to anticipate. PeriSight Top Attack was designed precisely to address it.
Thanks to its fully passive technology, the system emits no electromagnetic signal and cannot be detected or jammed. It provides 360° infrared detection with no blind spots, capable of identifying a tactical surveillance drone at up to approximately 1 km and an FPV drone at up to approximately 250 m, day and night.
A compact, modular architecture for universal integration
PeriSight Top Attack is built around four CamSight by Bertin camera modules, integrated into armored vehicles’ onboard networks. Each module covers a 95° field of view, forming complete optronic coverage of the attack zones favored by drones. Its compact design and modular architecture enable easy integration on any type of armored vehicle, without major structural modifications.
The system is scalable to the desired performance level: additional cameras can be added to extend coverage or improve detection range, up to a maximum of eight modules. This flexibility allows PeriSight Top Attack to be tailored to the specific needs of each platform and mission.
The system complies with the most demanding military standards:
- Shock resistance: STANAG 4370 AECTP400 Ed3
- Environmental standards: MIL-STD-810-G / STANAG 4370
- IP67 waterproofing
- Operating temperatures: -40°C to +60°C
Reducing crew cognitive load, increasing operational responsiveness
Beyond detection, PeriSight Top Attack integrates an automatic target detection and tracking algorithm, leveraging embedded neural networks to analyze in real time the infrared feeds from the four camera modules. This artificial intelligence layer enables threats to be distinguished, classified, and prioritized without constant human intervention, even in complex environments saturated with false positives. By relieving the crew of permanent visual surveillance, the system frees up critical cognitive resources for combat, enabling countermeasures to be triggered with maximum responsiveness.
A strategic research and development focus for Bertin Technologies, embedded AI for armored platform protection is the subject of an open co-innovation approach. Bertin Technologies collaborates with specialized players in the Defense AI ecosystem to integrate increasingly high-performance models, particularly for multi-target detection, threat classification, and adaptation to new drone profiles.
Powered by CamSight by Bertin technology
PeriSight Top Attack is powered by Bertin Technologies’ CamSight camera modules, a reference range in uncooled infrared imaging for Defense applications. This technological consistency guarantees proven performance, industrial reliability, and simplified maintainability throughout the system’s entire lifecycle.
“Faced with the proliferation of drones on operational theatres, the protection of armored vehicles has become a major challenge. With PeriSight Top Attack, we offer a solution that relies on no electromagnetic emissions, covers all vulnerable areas, and concretely reduces crew workload. It is an immediate operational response to a real threat,” says Hadrien Pinot, Vehicle Protection Business Manager, Bertin Technologies.
See us at Eurosatory 2026
PeriSight Top Attack will be unveiled in its world premiere at the Bertin Technologies stand at Eurosatory 2026, to be held from June 15 to 19, 2026 at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre. Visitors will be able to discover the system and meet the Bertin Winlight teams in Hall 6, stand E83.
S-KAPS Counter Drone: PeriSight Top Attack at the heart of a comprehensive protection solution
Bertin Technologies is joining forces with two other pillars of the French Defense industry to take PeriSight Top Attack even further. As part of an unprecedented collaboration with LACROIX and MC2 Technologies, PeriSight Top Attack is integrated into the S-KAPS Counter Drone system, also on display at Eurosatory 2026. This multi-layer system combines the passive 360° infrared detection of PeriSight Top Attack, the HADDES passive RF sensor from MC2 Technologies, and the LACROIX protection computer, providing armored forces with a comprehensive and modular protection bubble against FPV, surveillance, and fiber-optic guided drones. Already proven during key demonstrations with the DGA, during Scorpion days, and as part of NATO demos since 2024, this 100% French solution illustrates the agility and excellence of the Defense Industrial and Technological Base (DITB).
