The Institute of Cancer Research is an English public research institute founded in 1909 and known for a number of breakthrough cancer discoveries.

It has analyzed ex vivo tumor tissues to study the gene expression of breast tumors and their metastases. Breast cancer xenografts from different cell lines (MDA-MB-435 and GI-101) as well as their lymph node metastases, were frozen in liquid nitrogen after collection. During this study, RNA was extracted from the tissues using 10 different protocols.

In this application note, discover how breast cancer xenografts were quickly and efficiently homogenized using the Precellys® 24 Touch and learn more about the quality of the total RNA extracted with the Precellys® Lysing kits.
