Rock analysis
Using the LIBS technology allows to quickly determine the atomic composition of a stone, for example during the analysis of cores. It also allows mineral classification and the detection of rare metals.
Elemental compositions of rocks and stones can be easily and quickly determined using the LIBS Technology (Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy), particularly for light elements that cannot be detected by X Fluorescence. With a very fast time response (few seconds), the atomic composition of a core plug can be determined in less than one hour with millimeter step.
