Considering previous nuclear disasters in the last thirty years (Chernobyl, Fukushima), authorities had to realize that there was very low knowledge about the actual level and dispersion of radiation.

Consequently after those events, many nuclear power plants and surveillance authorities had to upgrade and strengthen their measurement networks to comply with a similar catastrophe scenario. To respond to this new problem, Bertin Instruments developed an autonomous system able to be deployed quickly for Gamma radiation monitoring.

In this application note, discover new approaches in environmental monitoring for routine as well as for emergency management offered by GammaTRACER.
