Bertin Nuclear, a Bertin Technologies brand, in partnership with SUETS, won a tender in early 2026 from CNESTEN in Morocco.

CNESTEN is the Moroccan national institution responsible for the development of nuclear science and technology. It is involved in strategic areas such as research, the production of radioisotopes for medicine, radiation protection, and nuclear safety. The only African Centre of Excellence recognized by the IAEA, the Maâmora Nuclear Research Center is a major scientific facility for the country and a key player in the region.

The contract covers the supply, installation, and commissioning of a fixed system for the continuous measurement of airborne volumetric activity of aerosols and iodine: the PIM-310.

Designed to provide continuous monitoring of alpha/beta aerosols and iodine-131, the PIM-310 enables rapid detection of any abnormal variations in radiological activity in the air. It combines a high-sensitivity detection module, an integrated processing unit for data analysis and archiving, and a configurable alarm system. Its modular design facilitates integration into demanding nuclear environments and ensures reliable operation under normal operating conditions as well as in accident or post-accident situations.

Deployed in strategic facilities, the PIM-310 contributes directly to personnel protection and radiological risk control.

Beyond this contract, it is a recognition of deep expertise in nuclear safety — from radiation protection to facility safety. Bertin Nuclear, a Bertin Technologies brand, brings together under a single name all of the group’s competencies in nuclear measurement and monitoring, serving the most demanding players in the sector.
