Set up by Business France for young French people aged 18 to 28 wishing to work abroad, the VIE is a special contract allowing to gain a first professional experience abroad, within a French group. Bertin Technologies now counts among its ranks several young graduates on VIE assignments within the Group’s various subsidiaries in Sweden, Germany, and the United States.

This year, Business France Nordics organized a VIE Sweden Grand Prix in which Marie Requirand took part. An AIT engineer at Bertin Exensor, the Swedish subsidiary of the Bertin Technologies group, Marie submitted her application on video and was awarded with the big prize on June 19th at the French Embassy in Stockholm.

Bertin Technologies is proud to see its employees flourish on a VIE assignment, for two main reasons:

  • Firstly, it confirms the desire of our talented young people to grow within the Group and to develop their skills through a wide range of career development opportunities. After an initial internship with Bertin Winlight, followed by a contract at our Aix-en-Provence site, Marie has now been pursuing her experience in Sweden for over a year.
  • As one of Europe’s leading industrial players, offering VIE assignments is also the proof of our determination to internationalize the company, strengthen cooperation between the Group’s various entities and offer young talents international mobility.

A few words from Marie about her VIE experience: « I’m really proud of winning this prize and to be able to represent the French culture and way of working abroad. I’m glad to be part of the VIE journey, it’s a truly enriching and rewarding experience, both professionally and personally. Thanks again to Bertin Technologies, Exensor and Business France for this amazing opportunity.”
